In Japan Entertainment News,
Missing Japanese actress and singer Noriko Sakai has been found and arrested by police, a week after she disappeared when her husband was arrested on drugs charges.
Now, 38-year-old Ms Sakai has herself been arrested on suspicion of drug possession.
Police issued a warrant for her arrest on Friday (August 7th).
On Thursday, the couple's 10-year-old son was found at a family friend's home in Tokyo.
Since last Monday, the star has been out of email and phone contact, reports said.
After her arrest, her management company spoke about the incident.
"Noriko Sakai was arrested last night and we would like to offer an apology to all her fans for the trouble caused," Sun Music president Masahisa Aizawa said.
He went on to say that he hopes Ms Sakai can reflect on her actions and "feel the weight" of her alleged crime.
Today, the Japan Times reported that on speaking to police, Ms Sakai has insisted that she first began using drugs under the "urging" of her husband.
