Sunday Times - Martin Hemming
Martin had never been to Japan before, but had read about one of our trips to the remote islands of Ogasawara (AKA. The Bonin Islands). The small group of islands are a 25.5hr ferry ride from Tokyo and officially come under the rule of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government. The islands couldn't be any more different to the big smoke of the city and are home to rare bird life, plants, beautiful beaches, burnt out remnants from the second world war and some of the best diving in the world.
