Japan Small Group Tours

Small group tours are a fantastic way to see Japan and learn about Japan's history and culture whilst meeting like-minded people and indulging in some fantastic cuisine.

The very first Japan holidays we arranged back in 2000 were Small Group Tours, led by our directors Simon and Alastair. Since then we have continuously improved our tours, which now cover the length and breadth of Japan in different travel styles to ensure that each and every one of you has a truly memorable holiday. Today, our Japan small group tours have a maximum group size of just 14 people and are led by expert, enthusiastic tour leaders. Each Japan tour is very flexible, enabling you to do everything you want whilst socialising with like-minded people. Solo travellers happily travel on all our tours, and on selected Essential departures you can travel with other solos only if you prefer. Each day you can decide to stay with the group or head off and explore independently - the choice is yours.

Our tour leaders are what make our Small Group Tours truly special. Each InsideJapan tour leader lives in Japan, speaks excellent Japanese and is as passionate about sharing their love for their adopted home as we are. They are there to make sure that you get the absolute most out of your Japan holiday, providing personal insights into Japanese culture and society and making sure that your trip runs like clockwork. So go on, what's stopping you? Places sell out quickly, so get in touch to book your place on an amazing Japan Small Group Tour today!
