The Times - Stefanie Marsh
Stefanie travelled to Japan in what we had dubbed, "snow-shoes and sandals". She travelled through the snowy Japan Alps staying at Ryokan and sampling the more traditional Japan, but then jumped on the plane to the subtropics. It wasn't blistering hot, but was enough to give the British summertime a run for its money, even in winter. Stefanie discovered white sand beaches, jungle, clear tropical sea and plenty of its own culture.
