The Guardian - Katherine Rundell
To coincide with the opening of a new year-long exhibition of Japanese woodblock prints at Bristol Museum & Art Gallery, InsideJapan sent Katherine Rundell on a much yearned for trip to Japan to follow in the footsteps of the ukiyo-e masters, Hokusai and Hiroshige. Travelling from Tokyo to Fuji, via Hokusai's hometown of Obuse, she explored scenes immortalised in the artist's most iconic masterpieces.
If you're a ukiyo-e fan, InsideJapan's brand new 15-night Through the Floating World itinerary is a specially designed Hokusai trail, priced from £4,400 per person.
