A swimsuit manufacturer recently held a catwalk show in Japan's capital on Saturday May 31st 2008.
Taking place in Tokyo's Ginza district, the show was held by manufacturer San-ai and featured a total of 30 new swimsuits, reports Mainichi Daily News.
Located to the north of the city's famous Shinbashi district, Ginza is within the Tokyo ward of Chuo and features a large number of amenities such as coffee houses, department stores and restaurants.
"[In Ginza] fashion is still very much the word. Brand name bags costing tens of thousands of yen are the essential shopping accessory," said Tokyoessentials.com.
Some of the featured garments were released under the 2008 theme entitled Colourful Splash.
A number of the other swimsuits have been created with more striking designs, including flowers, stripes and animal prints.
In total, six models were used by San-ai for the show at the Nishi Ginza Department Store.
