Marriott Miyako opens in Osaka
A Marriott International hotel has opened in the Japanese city of Osaka, becoming the group's fourth venue in the country.
Marriott Miyako is located in front of the Abenobashi station in the Abeno Harukas skyscraper, which opened last week as Japan's largest building.
Guests are guaranteed an incredible view of the city sprawled out below them as all 360 of the hotel's rooms are located on the top floors of the building.
Marriott International’s president and MD for Asia Pacific David Grissen commented: "Marriott International’s model for growth around the world is to work with local partners who have the right local expertise, knowledge and skills, and who share our own values and culture."
The organisation has reportedly deployed new methods and techniques to help residents feel at home in its 'greatrooms', which have been designed for travellers who wish to blend work and play.
Osaka's latest hotel opening will be welcomed by the metropolitan government as the city is making efforts to challenge Tokyo as a business and tourism centre.
