Osaka set for Harry Potter's Wizarding World
Harry Potter fanatics in Osaka are gearing up to experience the city's brand new attraction: a faithful recreation of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, complete with Hogsmeade village.
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Osaka will open next year, and with fan photos on Twitter showing the arrival of the Hogwarts Express and near-complete replica of the castle, it looks set to be finished on time.
With the attraction's only existing counterpart in Florida continuing to prove exceptionally popular with visitors, organisers are hoping for an equally successful venture in the Japanese city.
The theme park will have plenty to compete with, however, as Osaka is famed for being home to one of the largest public aquariums in the world, as well as the famous landmark Osaka Castle.
Harry Potter's Wizarding World comes following the success of Harry Potter: The Exhibition, which thrilled fanatics in Roppongi Hills, Tokyo, with its display of props, costumes and sets from the films.
