Japanese Jim Beam ad features Leo DiCaprio
Leonardo DiCaprio is undoubtedly an A-list star with many big budget hit movies to his name. Titanic, Gangs of New York andThe Aviator are just a few of the films he has featured in, so it is perhaps surprising to learn that his latest starring role is in a Japanese advert for Whisky.
His career is very much in the ascendancy with starring roles in the latest Quentin Tarantino movie - Django Unchained - and Baz Luhrmann's The Great Gatsby just a few of his latest projects. But it is the part of barman for the small screen which is attracting arguably as much attention.
The advert sees the star chipping away at a ball of ice and then placing the revolving sphere into a glass. He clicks his fingers at which point the ice falls into crushed crystals which the 38-year-old then pours bourbon over.
DiCaprio announces that this is "cool bourbon," and the brand is revealed as none other than Jim Beam.
While many may be surprised to see such a successful actor appearing in an advert, his fans are no doubt pleased to get yet one more opportunity to see their favourite star in another role.
