Aerosmith singer to release Japan single

Steven Tyler, the singer of rock bad Aerosmith, is planning to release his first solo single in November.

According to Anime News Network, Love Lives will also be the theme song for a forthcoming Japanese movie, Space Battleship Yamato.

The news has led to rumours that Aerosmith may be on the verge of splitting up and follows a recent fall out between Tyler and bandmate Joe Perry over the former's decision to appear on American Idol.

Space Battleship Yamato is based on a 1970s Japanese television series and stars Takuya Kimura, a member of the popular Japanese pop group SMAP. The movie will be released at the start of December.

Tyler's Love Lives track will go on sale on November 24th and will also be available in instrumental and acoustic versions.

Aerosmith's biggest hit I Don't Want to Miss a Thing was nominated for an Academy Award in 1998
