Our team at Inside Japan Tours
The sun never sets on the InsideJapan Tours team (well, maybe on Sundays) as we have offices in Bristol (UK), Boulder, (USA), Brisbane (Australia) and Nagoya (Japan). On this page you can meet the people behind our Japan tours and holidays.
We have a wide range of backgrounds and interests, but you can be sure that the one thing that ties us all together is a love of Japan, Japanese culture and a passionate desire to share that with other people.
From the accounts department, through the travel consultant teams to the tour leaders and guides on the ground, you can rest assured that everything we do is to make sure you have the best possible experience of Japan.
Originally from Toyota City in Aichi Prefecture, Aya is a massive fan of music - especially pop-rock and punk - and is a dab hand at the bass guitar.
As a teenager, Aya was a die-hard devotee of the punk scene - citing her primary fashion icons as Vivienne Westwood and Sid Vicious. Though she may have left the ripped tartan and safety pins behind, Aya still has a passion for music, and before joining InsideJapan Tours in 2014 she spent three years working at a music magazine.
Though she is a newcomer to the travel industry, Aya's no stranger to living abroad. In 2009-10 she spent ten months living in Portsmouth, UK as an exchange student, whilst in 2012 she spent three months in Manchester. Aya enjoyed everything about her life in the UK, and was lucky enough to have encountered only fantastic people on her travels.
Based in our Nagoya office, Aya helps make sure that tickets are booked, hotels reserved and every wrinkle ironed out of each of our trips - as well as providing on-the-ground support for our customers. And if you're interested in live music events and gigs in Japan, Aya is the one to ask!
