Make your own sushi
Roll up your sleeves and have a go at making your own sushi in Kyoto
Sushi is the backbone of Japanese cooking, now loved throughout the world. From the weird to the wonderful, sushi comes in a huge range of shapes and varieties from Western-palette friendly egg sushi and cucumber rolls, tuna, mackerel and prawn sushi to the more adventurous eel and fish roe varieties. A trivia fact: the word sushi actually refers to the rice, not the fish!
We can arrange a 90 minute hands-on lesson so you can learn how to roll your own sushi plus some traditional side dishes. After mastering the basic sushi-making techniques, you'll be able to recreate the dishes at home using easy-to-find ingredients - a great souvenir from your Japan adventure.
This class is great for families; suitable for children age 4 and above.
