Kasuri weaving
Meet an expert in weaving kimono fabric
Mimasaka, a 16th century village, is home to a master kasuri weaver. Kashimoto-san first fell in love with kimono as a little girl, first learning how to put on a kimono (harder than it may sound!), then progressing to making kimono and weaving kimono fabric. Find out more about this fascinating art and try your hand at a rustic weaving loom.
