Mount Aso helicopter ride
If James Bond can fly over the volcanic peaks of Kyushu in a helicopter, why shouldn't you?
The caldera and active peaks of Mount Aso can be accessed by foot and ropeways but the best views are from the air! Mount Aso features in the Bond film You Only Live Twice as Blofeld's secret lair and the film also has a helicopter chase between Bond and the enemy, SPECTRE, across the peaks of rural Kyushu. We can't provide a chase with gunfire but InsideJapan can arrange a short helicopter tour above the Aso crater and surrounding area.
