Kirin Cup friendly - details confirmed

Details of a forthcoming Kirin Cup friendly tournament have been confirmed.

An announcement from the Japan Football Association (JFA) has confirmed that both Cote d'Ivoire and Paraguay will be making the journey to Japan to take part in a number of football matches over the course of May.

"We've got some good teams coming this year," said Takeshi Okada, the coach for the Japanese football team, in a report by the Daily Yomiuri.

"From what I've been told, Cote d'Ivoire will come at full strength, and Paraguay's top in the South American World Cup qualifiers right now."

As part of the tournament, Cote d'Ivoire and Paraguay will face each other on May 22nd and Japan will face Paraguay on May 27th.

A match between Japan and Cote d'Ivoire will be held on May 24th.

The history of the JFA goes back to 1921.
