Travellers increasingly booking package deals, study finds
Jetting off to Japan can be an exciting prospect for many travellers, with its rich cultural history and exciting traditions and customs.
With top destinations including Kyoto, Tokyo, Nagasaki and Hiroshima, there is much to explore on a break to one of Asia's most enthralling countries.
And it seems many more travellers are opting for package holiday deals to meet their needs, with ABTA, the Travel Association, highlighting the latest trend.
According to the organisation's newest research, 48 per cent of people have booked an overseas package holiday this year, compared to 42 per cent last year and 37 per cent in 2010.
ABTA head of communications Victoria Bacon pointed out the reasons why more travellers are placing greater trust in package deals.
"The market has evolved massively and is now very sophisticated, with packages to cater for every taste and budget," she said.
The research also showed that travellers prioritise safe accommodation, financial protection and an easy booking process when planning an overseas adventure.
"Consumers have come to value the security and cost effectiveness that package holidays provide," Ms Bacon added.
