Heli-skiing

Heli-skiing

The ultimate in extreme winter sports. Make the ascent by helicopter and then hit the powder snow for an exhilirating descent

Instead of exhausting all your energy attempting to access Hakuba's backcountry on foot, travel to the ridge line of Mount Tsugiake by helicopter and enjoy an untouched powdered course starting 2,200m above sea level. This is one of the only places in Japan where you can enjoy heli-skiing and once you have finished exploring the Tsugiake highland ridges you can enjoy the rest of the day on the resort slopes below. This experience is recommended for intermediate to advanced skiers and boarders.
