Tokashiki Island

Tokashiki Island Map

Tokashiki is one of twenty two islands which make up the Kerama Islands to the west of Okinawa Island. With an area of fifteen square kilometres and under 700 inabitants, Tokashiki is one of only four populated Kerama Islands but still manages to remain largely unspoilt. Tokashiki is one of Okinawa's best island get-aways with a very laid back pace of life. The beautiful Aharen and Tokashiki  beaches are perfect places to relax with crystal clear waters teeming with coral and fish. Snorkelling and scuba diving are therefore popular activities on the island and there are a number of hiking trails to observatories which look out over the island and the Pacific Ocean. Whale watching is another popular activity and can be done between January and April.
