In Japan Travel News,
Japan is 'stunning' in cherry blossom season
Tourists should consider visiting Japan during the famous cherry blossom season, suggests the Japan National Tourism Organisation (JNTO).
Kylie Clark, PR and marketing manager for the JNTO, explained that the season runs from the start of January in the Okinawa Islands in the south of the country, until May in the northern island of Hokkaido.
"Japan showered in pink petals is stunningly beautiful, but cherry blossom season is just one of many great times to visit Japan and appreciate the landscape and culture," said Ms Clark.
She added that Japan also boosts a number of other natural landmarks that are must-see for visitors including Mount Fuji, which is opening for climbing during July and August, plus around 75 per cent of Japan is mountains and has 29 national parks.
