Learn from a master sensei in Okinawa, home of karate

Translated as 'way of the empty hand', karate is now popular all over the world. However few people know that this martial art originated in the islands of Okinawa and only became popular on mainland Japan fairly recently in the early 20th century. If you are a karate enthusiast then what could be better then having a lesson in the birthplace of this martial art?

InsideJapan are able to arrange karate lessons in at a traditional Okinawan fukkenshu fushoushi building with an experienced instructor. If you don't practice the specific Okinawan styles of karate at home, it will be very interesting to see how things are done differently here.
