In Events In Japan,
La Folle Journee coming soon
Classical music fans may be interested to learn that the annual La Folle Journee gala will be taking place at the Tokyo International Forum soon.
The theme of this year's gala is Bach and Europe, with concerts taking place between May 3rd and 5th.
A number of events will also be held at different venues in the Marunouchi district for the duration of the festival.
The Tokyo International Forum is a short walk from Yurakucho and Tokyo train station.
The Marouchi district itself is located between the Imperial Palace and Tokyo Station.
Also taking place soon is the Tokyo Summer Festival, a month-long celebration of international performing arts which, like La Folle Journee gala, is based on a different theme each year.
The 2009 edition of the festival, now in its 25th year, takes place in venues such as Sogestu Hall and Kioh Hall and includes interactive dance shows, workshops and orchestral concerts, reports Whatsonwhen.
