Lana Del Rey apologises over cancelled Tokyo concert
Lana Del Rey has apologised to fans in Japan who missed out on her Tokyo show yesterday.
The Video Games and Born to Die singer was due to play a concert in the Japanese capital but pulled out with less than 24 hours to go before she was due to take to the stage, citing "exhaustion".
In a statement announcing the cancellation, a spokesperson for the American singer-songwriter said that it was "with great regret" that she will not be singing in Tokyo but she was "suffering from exhaustion and the show had to be cancelled".
Apologising to her disappointed fans, Lana said: "I am really sorry to not have made it over to Japan again, I would love to be there to sing and look forward to performing a show that the fans deserve."
The singer, who has recently penned tracks for Cheryl Cole's new album, later took to Twitter to apologise again, before promising to "come back soon".
