What our customers have to say...
The most important thing we can do to improve our service is listen to what our customers have to say, which is why you can now read their comments unedited on our website.
Upon returning from Japan all our clients are sent a review form and this is where you can see what they are saying about their experience of Japan and of our service.
Search the reviews, check the image gallery and see for yourself how our clients rate the InsideJapan experience.

1. How would you describe your overall level of satisfaction with us as your tour operator?
Sarah was always, co-operative, gave good advice without any trace of pushiness and was a pleasure do deal with. Our tour in Japan was exceptional and David was a model tour guide for the group, being patient with the slow pace some of the group could manage but at the same time keeping us on schedule.

2. Tour Leader name and satisfaction rating
David was an excellent tour leader, coping with a group who had slightly varying needs and as someone who must be 30 years younger than everyone in the group, got on very well with all, making allowances occasionally for the slower pace of some of us. He's very knowledgable about all his subject material, fluent (it seemed!) in his Japanese and very enthusiastic about all that Japan has to offer. I think he (along with the rest of the Inside Japan team) are very much in love with Japan and want us to share that love so that we aren't just box-ticking tourist sites.

3. Consultant name and satisfaction rating:
Having agreed on a trip, Sarah was helpful beyond the edges at the beginning and end, giving us a fine recommendation for the final hotel.

4. How would you rate your package in terms of value for money?
Good
-
5. How would you rate the accommodation against your expectations?
Variously - The Gate, Ryogoku was perfect, best of the trip. Hilton, Hiroshima and Okura, Kyoto were very good. The Aware Onsen was a ryokan and therefore unfamiliar but a lovely experience although a single night was a correct choice. On the road you need to be able to spread out a little. The Nikko, Kanazawa was the 2nd best of the trip and very well located. Sadly the Hyatt House was the worst. It is strangely arranged, the common areas are limited. little provision for food and drink and more cramped than all the others (presumably because of it's very central location).

6. Please give us your comments on the transport included in your package.
Very good - only on day 10's bus tour of Kanazawa did I think it was a little cramped.
-
7. Please tell us your thoughts on the meals included during your tour.
Our thoughts are very positive, we did arrive with a determination to try everything and we had some foods that were delicious that we would never have ventured without being willing to try. Sadly now we're home, there aren't many places to get an Okonomyaki and I've had to order some Ponzu off Amazon.

8. How do you rate the usefulness and standard of information in the Info-Pack?
-
9. Would you consider travelling to Japan again?
Yes
-
10. Would you travel again with InsideJapan Tours?
Yes
Certainly you would be our first port of call to use if we went again. Obviously we'd want to be on a tour that didn't overlap and the world is a big place with many more things to offer so it'll be a few years.
