1. How would you describe your overall level of satisfaction with us as your tour operator?
Overall the service provided by InsideJapan was great. Prior to the tour communication was great. Archie (and anyone else with the few times Archie was unavailable) was very helpful answering my many questions and amending the tour as requested. Japan was a fantastic destination to visit, we saw so much and experienced so much. I loved every minute. Michael was a fantastic tour leader and extremely helpful during the whole trip. With all that said I was very lucky the group was amazing and including Michael I now consider them all dear friends.

2. Tour Leader name and satisfaction rating
I cannot overstate how privileged I feel to have had Michael lead the tour. He had a wealth of knowledge on everywhere we went and despite his assertion he was tour logistics not a guide I would argue he excelled at being both. Aside from making almost every location much much more accessible than without him - he did so while being friendly and patient. Patient with my many questions and often many questions relating to my own elementary levels of speaking Japanese (my own description of my level to be clear). Of particular note was his taking the time to assist booking an excursion to Mount Fuji after the tour end which ended up being a mini group tour. Without his assistance in this - this would not have been possible and we wouldn't have had a wonderful day seeing Fuji san in all its glory. In addition his quick assistance in my last minute wish to give an Oragmi Crane to the Hiroshima Peace Memorial was very much appreciated. But these are just a couple of instances where I felt Michael was able to easily deal with small issues we brought about and give an excellent solution (like me suddenly wanting to delay things by 15m to get some chopsticks inscribed). At no point did I not feel he had everything under control and was in position to deal with every complication we as group would introduce. He fully fulfilled the role of 'Insider' and hope he also agrees that he is now my friend.

3. Consultant name and satisfaction rating:
Per previous answer Archie was very helpful for all questions tour logistic related, tour content related and anything in between. They were also very patient when I misread his request twice in a row. When I wanted to add first an initial and then later a second day to the end of the tour it seemed no bother and all was done easily. Any concerns over my own preparation were allayed with no fus.

4. How would you rate your package in terms of value for money?

5. How would you rate the accommodation against your expectations?
The traditional inn was in fact a highlight as promised. However my only small moan would be that as someone who is somewhat neurotic in that they don't want to be seen or interact without having had a shower in the morning the Monk's lodging and to a much lesser degree the traditional inn had a little more limited washing facilities or a little more shared than the western style hotels. The Monk's lodging in particular seeming to have only the one shower for us all with a very very early wake up time did lead to some anxiety and slightly sleepless night. The traditional inn therefore had me quite concerned that the amount of washing bays would be enough to handle the group and any others who were staying. While the Onsen visit was optional (and something I'm very glad I did), the washing facilities at the traditional in felt less optional at a stage where I wasn't yet as familiar with the rest of the group so felt a little intimidating. But to restate - I will admit I am a bit neurotic about my own showering habits.

6. Please give us your comments on the transport included in your package.
All great - I like trains. And Riding the Shinkansen was great.

7. Please tell us your thoughts on the meals included during your tour.
Largely very good. Learned I'm not fond of sushi or tofu but still tried to keep a mentality of trying it regardless. By and large the restaurants picked by Michael were all great. Though slightly strange in why certain times water took so long to arrive - but this wasn't Michael's issue at all. I would be remiss if I didn't highlight there was a great deal of very good chicken.

Great tour leader. Tour felt like it went to places not necessarily obvious, which quickly became obvious that they were some of the best parts to see. Japan itself has a great ambiance and vibe if you will. With that said there is more to see, and frankly more to buy.
