1. How would you describe your overall level of satisfaction with us as your tour operator?
InsideJapan provided an excellent, well-organized itinerary, and Karin was easy to work with. She was quick to answer questions, and she did a great job setting up pre- and post-tour activities for us. I had been to Japan in June 1986. October 2023 was very different, in a good way. 1986 was about mountains in national parks 2023 was about cities, culture, Buddhism, art, food, and meeting people from different walks of life. I learned so much. And there were even some hikes leading to shrines!

Kinga was amazing. She could answer any question, solve any problem, speak and translate Japanese for us, move us quickly in fleets of taxis, and organize terrific food experiences. She was extremely thoughtful and caring. At our final dinner, she gave us personal thank you notes at the end of the tour! I would go on another tour with her in a heartbeat.

I liked the variety of transportation: train, boat/ferry, local rail/trolley, taxi, walking.

7. Please tell us your thoughts on the meals included during your tour.
The meals were excellent. I liked being able to try foods I was not familiar, but I apologize for not loving sashimi, sushi, or fish-on-a-stick more. I found good things to eat at every meal, in spite of that. I discovered I especially liked yakitori and udon soup. The hotel breakfast in Kyoto was my favorite: they had rice balls filled with beef and lots of different pickles.
