When will travel to Japan restart?
In a speech to the City of London on May 5th, Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida said Japan’s next border easing will happen in June, “when Japan will introduce a smoother entry process similar to that of other G7 members”. This suggests Japan will begin opening its borders to tourists from June.
What are the details?
Kishida hasn’t offered much detail yet – but he did have a lot of serious geo-political events to cover.
Further news coverage has suggested that group tours will be the first trips to restart in May, followed by full easing in June.
When will Japan opening details be confirmed?
