1. How would you describe your overall level of satisfaction with us as your tour operator?
Everything was incredible. The Tour Consultant, Amy Tadehara, was helpful and provided timely and important information and guidance. Having a personalized tour with only myself and a Tour Leader exceeded my expectations. Sophia Drake was enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and helped in so many ways with translation, guidance related to places to eat and see when I was on my own. I couldn't have asked for more. She is an asset to your company!

Sophia is friendly, knowledgeable. I appreciated her enthusiasm. For example, it was raining on the day we were to take a boat on the gorge and walking across the vine bridge. I wasn't sure I was up for these two activities in the rain, but we dressed appropriately - I wore two rain jackets - and I ended up enjoying both of these activities.

She helped straighten out my confusion about travel start and end dates, which could have been disastrous had she not seen the issues. She helped me locate an area of Tokyo to stay near when I came in two nights prior to the tour start. I could count on her guidance and assistance in making sure that my flights and plans worked with the tour.

5. How would you rate the accommodation against your expectations?
The hotels were great. Most were above my expectations. Self-service laundry was difficult and I had one glitch, but had I used Google Translator, that may not have happened. It was my error, but it caused some angst for a couple of days since the clothes I tried to wash were sopping wet for two days.

6. Please give us your comments on the transport included in your package.
Transportation was good. Drivers were great - showed up early and drove carefully.

7. Please tell us your thoughts on the meals included during your tour.
The two dinners at the traditional Japanese Inn Kotohira were not to my taste. I was quite hungry on those evenings. Too much raw shellfish and seaweed - two nights in a row. I think an alternative for western tastes would have been welcomed. Also, the bento box at the museum at Naoshima was difficult for me. I do not eat octopus and two much seaweed.

Yes
I loved the Hidden Japan tour, the staff, and the efficient planning your staff completed. I would consider a different tour in Japan if it also included smaller towns and real-world experiences. Being an artist in my retirement, anything art related, such as Naoshima and the indigo dying class, were tops on my list.
