Gemma leaves IJT after 6 years
Gemma joined the company in its earlier days (October 2004) on her return from living in Japan and has seen the company grow considerably becoming the largest independent Japan specialists in the UK. Gemma started out as a tour leader taking groups of people all over Japan before developing the ‘Agents Department’ approximately 3 years ago and making it her own. InsideJapan have always been keen to support local charity and Gemma has certainly been heavily involved over the years. She has now left InsideJapan to start up the Bristol wing of a charity supporting young people called Envision http://www.envision.org.uk/ Interestingly enough they have been going since about the same time as InsideJapan Tours – ten years! InsideJapan will miss the Timons, but as she is only working around the corner in the centre of Bristol, we will probably see her quite a lot. Gemma is pictured here with Directors Simon and Alastair on her last day being presented with a cheque for £200 to help Bristol end of the charity on its way.
