Kinosaki Onsen
For onsen aficionados, wear geta sandals and yukata robes to explore the bath houses of a hot spring town.
Japanese towns blessed with an abundance of hot springs have become onsen resorts. One of the most famous of these is Kinosaki Onsen where instead of visiting just one bath house, you can spend a whole afternoon dipping in and out of different onsen before returning to your ryokan (traditional Japanese inn) for dinner and bed. To save getting undressed and dressed every time, ryokan provide guests with wooden geta sandals and yukata robes so you can clip-clop between bath houses around town.
