Learn to fish with locals from the tiny fishing community on Sakate Island just off the coast from Ise.
Take an early morning fishing trip with local fisherman off the coast near Ise. A boat ride will take you across to tiny Sakate Island where you can have explore the island's rugged scenery, wander the village's tiny alleyways and say konnichiwa to local fisherman. Then gathering at the island's dock you'll be instructed in basic fishing techniques; equipment and bait will be provided. Back on the mainland later in the morning, you'll cook up your catch for a barbecue breakfast.
