1. How would you describe your overall level of satisfaction with us as your tour operator?
I had a wonderful experience in Japan. I will most definitely return in the next few years. Our tour guide Finn was absolutely brilliant. He truly brought Japan alive for us. He checked in with us individually often very conscientious on our diets and interests. His kindness, warmth, and knowledge elevated the experience. We joked that our tour group only has one brain cell and it belonged to Finn as we all felt comfortable to follow his lead and knew we were in excellent hands. Our hotel/ryokan accommodations were also extremely pleasant and comfortable. The staff at every location was exemplary. My driver from the airport to my first hotel was so extremely helpful and friendly. During the taxi ride they provide a mini tour of the sites we passed. Our local tour guides were also very knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful on recommendations. I felt each location brought a new aspect of Japan to life. I felt there was soo much to see and do but felt we got a good taste of each location. It lets me know where I would want to return to when I go back to Japan now that I’ve built some confidence. It’s very hard to isolate my favorite place/experience as my encounters with the Japanese locals/people we very memorable. I am not going to lie I’ll miss the toilets and their advanced systems as well. I think I took hundreds of photos. My love of cats was well fed in Japan. I went to Yanaka Ginza, Gotokuji Temple, and a few cat cafes. I brought back so many cute cat themed purchases. In Tokyo I loved the Sensoji Temple and the Hamarikyu Gardens. I learned that I love red bean paste. In Kanazawa the Kenroku-en Garden was absolutely majestic. It took my breath away. The chopstick making class with the gold leaf was a great fun/laugh. I was the champion at Janken. :) I spent soo much money in Kanazawa. Everything was so beautiful. Kyoto is by far one of the most magnificent places in the world. I could spend years exploring the area. Our Maiko experience was wonderful. I learned a lot and with recommendations from Finn am now binge watching The Makanai on Netflix. The Sanj&363sangend&333 Temple was a profound experience to be able to witness the sheer magnitude of the craft to build the 1001 Buddha statues. I was able to find a very local and historic shop to get a traditional fan which will proudly displayed in my home. I absolutely also loved Heian-Jingu Shrine. I cannot emphasize though how every location was a wonderful encounter that added to the experience. During my free day in Kyoto I got adventurous I wore a kimono and traveled half the day in Kyoto (Nijo Castle, Maruyama Park, etc) and Nara (Nara Park, Todai-Ji temple, Kasuga Taisha). I walked over 24,000 steps in a kimono. I was dying by the end of it but had no regrets. The Kinosaki Onsen was a great respite to relax and recharge. The Kaiseki meal was an amazing experience even if I felt like I was bursting at the seams halfway through the meal. The local workshops we went too were also remarkable as we got to meet and witness very crafted artisans. I felt Hiroshima was a very necessary even if it was a more somber experience. The museum was extremely well done and very emotional experience. I could go on and on but I think you get the gist. I had a once in a lifetime experience, I am very appreciative.

2. Tour Leader name and satisfaction rating
I cannot speak more highly about Finn. You could clearly see his passion and interest in sharing his love of Japan with others. He worked hard to make sure every single person in the tour felt heard/seen. He was very conscientious to make sure that everyone’s dietary needs were being met. It was very impressive even when it came to small snacks or treats that he made sure that it was something that everyone could enjoy. I really do not think my tour would have been as great as it would without Finn’s involvement. From the first day I felt very at ease and comfortable to be in his hands for the tour.
