1. How would you describe your overall level of satisfaction with us as your tour operator?
Service from both the travel consultant and the tour leader were excellent. The tour itself was quite brisk but always very enjoyable with a good mix of locations and activities.

Friendly, informative, well organised, and always very helpful with suggestions or advice. But the idiot-proofing of the trip could be a little frustrating at times eg. the frequent start/stop when going through train stations to count the group number, the re-iteration of info we'd already been told etc.

4. How would you rate your package in terms of value for money?

5. How would you rate the accommodation against your expectations?
All the hotels were at the level I expected for the tour and were usually clean, comfortable and with good food. The only real complaint I had is with the hotel in Kyoto, the Vista Premio Nagomitei, and that's just down to the location. It was a nice hotel but felt inconvenient for getting to any of museums, shops or tourist spots I wanted to visit.

6. Please give us your comments on the transport included in your package.
Generally well organised and planned, except for the transport in the morning from Hakone to Hikone. The bus from the guesthouse in Hakone to the train station was already crammed even before our tour group got on, and that hour long bus journey was the most unpleasant part of the tour. It would really benefit from having a private mini-bus for that stretch.

7. Please tell us your thoughts on the meals included during your tour.
All the dinners were excellent, and with the exception of the Shinjuku Sunroute which wasn't particularly good, the hotels all offered decent breakfasts.

The Tokaido Trail tour was organised as just one part of a month-long holiday to Japan, spread out over multiple cities and included a week long hike on the Kumano Kodo along with multiple pre-booked activities all arranged through InsideJapan. And everything went flawlessly the entire month. I had no trouble with the travel, the accommodation, or any of the bookings
