What our customers have to say...
The most important thing we can do to improve our service is listen to what our customers have to say, which is why you can now read their comments unedited on our website.
Upon returning from Japan all our clients are sent a review form and this is where you can see what they are saying about their experience of Japan and of our service.

We had a wonderful and highly memorable tour of Japan, and the service was always good.

Michael was a delight to have as a tour leader and went far beyond our expectations in his care of the group. His courtesy, fluency in Japanese, cultural knowledge, group management and stamina were exemplary.

5. How would you rate the accommodation against your expectations?
All hotels and inns were fine except for our Hiroshima accommodation (Hiroshima Washington Hotel). The problem was a combination of no double glazing in the hotel and noisy night-time behaviour from locals in adjacent buildings and on the street. We asked to be moved from a room opposite a karaoke bar that did not wind down until 4.30 pm, and did not sleep most of our first night there. Other people in our group were kept awake on the next night by motorbike gangs racing down the street. Aside from this, it was an interesting cross section of accommodation types. (We suggest you change the Hiroshima accommodation for future groups).

6. Please give us your comments on the transport included in your package.
Some of the cross country trips and exits from major stations would have been difficult without Michael's expert guidance and sense of timing. There was one day when we had to take 5 trains, which was a little tiring but manageable. Japanese public transport is extraordinarily well designed and run, but I will be avoiding Shinjuku station in Tokyo on my own.

7. Please tell us your thoughts on the meals included during your tour.
The meals included in our tour were breakfasts and 2 dinners (one at a traditional inn, and the other Hiroshima pancakes), but Michael kindly shepherded us to different types of restaurant on most nights of the tour. I was happy with the food but often found the quantity excessive, due to the fact that I am small and not a big breakfast and dinner eater. I was also a bit desperate for food with a higher fibre content by about day 5. Generally, I enjoyed the variation in the food and was happy to try out any new dishes.
