What doesn't Farmer-san know about Japan and Japanese culture? With so many hundreds of temples in Kyoto, how nice to have Richard to narrow them down to get the best out of such limited timescale. He's friendly, approachable, knowledgeable and just plain fun to be with. Richard took the stress out of using the very efficient public transport system and deciding where to eat out, and mainly because of this we are glad we chose to do a group tour rather than do our own itinerary for our first visit to Japan.

A good mix of traditional and modern. Surprised at how many of the hotels actually had onsen bathing.

My only wish is that King's Cross to Leeds could have a fraction of the efficiency and comfort of the Shinkansen. The bus ride through the Alps was amazing.

7. Please tell us your thoughts on the meals included during your tour.
Evening meals mainly at Richard's suggestion and excellent. Everyone should experience Oknomiyaki in Hiroshima. The lack of fresh fruit at breakfasts was a negative point.

Delivered on all counts. Had looked at other providers and their information didn't come anywhere close, and the experience exceeded expectations. But could you guarantee 13 days of clear blue skies and sunshine again?
