The sun never sets on the InsideJapan Tours team (well, maybe on Sundays) as we have offices in Bristol (UK), Broomfield, (USA), Brisbane (Australia) and Nagoya (Japan). On this page you can meet the people behind our Japan holidays and tours.

We have a wide range of backgrounds and interests, but you can be sure that the one thing that ties us all together is a love of Japan, Japanese culture and a passionate desire to share that with other people.

From the accounts department, through the travel consultant teams to the tour leaders and guides on the ground, you can rest assured that everything we do is to make sure you have the best possible experience of Japan.

A self-professed geek, PC gamer (when time permits) and lover of Symphonic Metal and Trailer Music, Phil is the guy who keeps everything up and running behind the scenes.

From his beginnings as a Projectionist in a multiplex cinema, Phil has gone on to embrace everything tech-related, working as IT support for a school in his home town of Bristol before bringing his skills to InsideJapan Tours in 2014.

Having never visited Japan or worked in the travel industry before joining the company, Phil confesses that before he joined the InsideJapan team he knew almost nothing about the country and its culture and had never even thought about visiting Japan himself. Several months of intensive exposure to an office full of Japan obsessives later, he has quite a different attitude - and can frequently be found reading up on Japanese culture articles, or joining in with the team at promotional events such as Make Sunday Special in Bristol.

How has InsideJapan has changed your opinion about Japan?

"Being surrounded by people who have a huge amount of passion and expertise about Japan has led me to want to book my first trip to such a wonderful and enchanting country. I also try to get involved as much as I can with external activities to broaden my knowledge of Japan. Our staff and their love for Japan is certainly infectious!"
