The sun never sets on the InsideJapan Tours team (well, maybe on Sundays) as we have offices in Bristol (UK), Broomfield, (USA), Brisbane (Australia) and Nagoya (Japan). On this page you can meet the people behind our Japan holidays and tours.

We have a wide range of backgrounds and interests, but you can be sure that the one thing that ties us all together is a love of Japan, Japanese culture and a passionate desire to share that with other people.

From the accounts department, through the travel consultant teams to the tour leaders and guides on the ground, you can rest assured that everything we do is to make sure you have the best possible experience of Japan.

After spending her early years in Sendai, growing up between Shizuoka and Los Angeles, and going to high school in Kobe, Saeko made the move to Colorado in 2011.

Like many before her, it didn't take long to fall in love with the weather and laidback nature of Coloradans. More importantly, surrounded by glorious countryside, the move took her one step closer to making the long-held dream of owning a Bernese Mountain dog called Jiro come true!

After 7 years arranging training camps for professional Japanese running teams, Saeko racked up plenty of planning experience. Having supported Olympic level runners, joining our busy Sales Support team is a walk in the park, or should that be a run in the park? A keen runner herself, she likes to rise early and hit the streets while everyone else still sleeps. It would be good if she had a dog to keep her company. Perhaps called Jiro? Just saying.

It's not all run and no play though. After wearing out her running shoes, Saeko likes to kick back with a novel (her favourite authors are Haruki Murakami and Miyuki Miyabe), go out for beers with friends, and cook up a storm in the kitchen.

While she thinks gyu-tan (cow tongue) and yakitori (skewered chicken) are delicious, Japanese pastries are her favourite food of all, particularly Nama-dora dorayaki (pancake sandwich) with red bean paste and cream. Unfortunately for Saeko (and us), it's not possible to bring them back from Japan.

As a fan of baking, perhaps it's the perfect opportunity to give making them at home a go - we don't mind being a team of tasters...
