What our customers have to say...
The most important thing we can do to improve our service is listen to what our customers have to say, which is why you can now read their comments unedited on our website.
Upon returning from Japan all our clients are sent a review form and this is where you can see what they are saying about their experience of Japan and of our service.

1. How would you describe your overall level of satisfaction with us as your tour operator?
The process of creating and fine-tuning the tour was easy. Kassondra was easy to work with and made every effort to accommodate my requests. The only thing that got confusing was the email thread when multiple versions if the info pack started accumulating. Keeping track of the most recent one was tricky. Changing the name of the document to include the date would fix that problem. In Japan, everything went well. There were a couple of hiccups along the way, but we managed. Using WhatsApp was a huge help. Everyone was super responsive and helped us along the way. I did not like the three hour layover we had in Takayama. There really wasn’t anything to do, and many restaurants were closed. We ended up buying earlier tickets to get to Hida-Furukawa. We also ended up swapping our return tickets because maintenance wasn’t an issue getting to the Takayama station, and the taxi would have cost at least 50. One highlight of our trip was the tour guides. In Tokyo, Ed knew exactly what to show my son for manga and anime. He also found the most amazing restaurant for lunch. In Kyoto, Sophia was perfect. She made time to take us to the Pokémon Center and explained things to my son that he wasn’t aware of. She took us to a fantastic sushi restaurant for lunch that we all loved. She explained local customs including how the vending machines work during a natural disaster. Her knowledge of Kyoto and Japan was impressive, but it’s her genuine love for the culture that really came through. Brandon showed us around Osaka. We were tired and not the best clients, but he took us to parts of Osaka we didn’t know anything about. He was fun and interesting. Our tour guide in Ogata-onsen was a highlight as she took us to visit a local family to make mochi and eat lunch. Her ability to translate for us and the couple required energy and patience, and I know she had to have been tired. But her positive energy never waned. Our Geisha district tour guide in Kyoto was awesome, once we found her. She was funny but also super knowledgeable and clearly engaged with the Geisha community. She also gave us extra insights into the cultures of Osaka and Kyoto. The hotels we stayed at were amazing. We loved all of them except for the last one in Shinjuku. It was the most expensive, but we didn’t like the area. As a family, we weren’t interested in the night life and club culture that seems to comprise the area. The hotel and the area were just too busy and too crowded. Where we stayed at the beginning of our trip, Asakusa, was much more our speed. I also ended up reserving an extra room through booking.com for our son in Osaka, Shinjuku, and Hiroshima since my son is 18, my husband snores loudly, and he needed more space away from us. Luckily, the hotels had space. In Hida-Furukawa, he had to deal. But he loved sleeping on the futon on the tatami mats in Kyoto and Hida. Our favorite day was Miyajima, aside from the super pesky deer. My son chilled on the beach while my husband and I explored. Unfortunately, significant rain caused us to cancel our trips to Kamakura and Uji, so we just used those days as rest days. Just gives us a reason to come back! To reiterate, the tour guides were amazing. The hotels, except for Shinjuku, were amazing. We had an amazing time and would definitely do it again.
