1. How would you describe your overall level of satisfaction with us as your tour operator?
Sierra did a good job of juggling the complexity of our group’s trip as we travelled together to Hiroshima and the Art Islands, then I proceeded solo for Hakone and back to Tokyo. The cars/Ubers, train and water taxi arrangements for our group were superb. The guides arranged for our food tour and half day in Hiroshima were excellent.

2. Consultant name and satisfaction rating:
Sierra worked for us under a tight timeframe. She explained that clients usually have a much longer planning timeline. We didn’t have that luxury. She was quite responsive to our requests and need for a more bespoke approach. I do wish she had provided more options for a hotel in Tokyo and some last minute questions about jazz venues and a cat cafe. The accommodations in Hiroshima, Uno and Hakone were comfortable and conveniently located. The two travel packets - one sent before leaving the US and the second awaiting us at our Tokyo hotel- had the museum and ground transport tickets that we needed. (When will Japan move to mobile tickets? The little paper ones require great care so they don’t get lost!).

The arrangements on the bullet trains, local trains, and water taxi were terrific. This made our trip so much easier.

Our two guides in Hiroshima - food tour and half day museum - were excellent.

I would love to return to Hakone for a longer stay. I’d also love to visit some of the less popular destinations south and north of Tokyo.
