Before you know it, you’ll find yourself lying back in first class comfort on the Tokaido shinkansen to Kyoto where the mood shifts to one of elegance and tradition. Day 1-2
Welcome to Tokyo – where imagination meets reality at every turn.
Arrive into one of Tokyo's international airports, where your private driver will be waiting to transfer you directly to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to unwind, acclimatise and begin exploring your surroundings at your own pace.
The following day, discover why Tokyo is a playground for all ages. You'll be joined by one of our local “Insiders”, who will tailor the day around your interests. Explore the electric world of Akihabara, known for its anime, manga and gaming culture, before continuing to the trend-setting districts of Harajuku and Shibuya. You may also visit Nakano Broadway, a favourite for vintage collectibles, cosplay and J-pop finds.

Day 3-5
Relax in the comfort of the Green Car as you travel by shinkansen to Kyoto, Japan's cultural heart and home to an extraordinary collection of UNESCO World Heritage sites.
While it would be impossible to see them all, your time here is carefully designed to showcase the very best of the city, led by our local Insider guide with private driver.
Included experiences feature a private rickshaw ride through Kyoto's atmospheric backstreets, showing you Kyoto in a different way. Return to Tokyo for a final night in the capital, with time for some last-minute shopping or the chance to explore one of the city's many engaging museums.

Alternatively, simply enjoy soaking up the atmosphere of the city one last time before your journey home. The following day, a private transfer will take you to the airport for your onward journey.
