1. How would you describe your overall level of satisfaction with us as your tour operator?
I'm so glad I chose IJT for my first trip to Japan. They take care of all the challenging aspects of planning a trip of this magnitude and made my time there stress-free. All of the information packets are super detailed and full of great suggestions for sightseeing, food, and travelling from place to place. I always felt reassured that everything was taken care of and that if something happened I could contact them easily for assistance.

2. Consultant name and satisfaction rating:
Catherine was great! She tailored my itinerary based on my request for less time with a guide. A half day guide in Tokyo was the perfect amount of time to orient me to the subway before I was let loose to explore on my own. The itinerary she made for me was pretty much perfect - there was a lot of travel from place to place but I never really felt rushed or exhausted. There was a varied mix of city life, historical sightseeing, and nature viewing so every day felt new and exciting.

4. How would you rate the accommodation against your expectations?
I was impressed by the level of customer service at each hotel, as well as the food. Before the trip I thought I would try to go out for breakfast each day but the buffets offered at the hotels were AMAZING. I loved having the choice of both Japanese and Western dishes. All locations were easy to find, the rooms were clean and just the right size for a solo traveler. The staff helped me with the paperwork for forwarding my luggage so thankfully that was a worry-free experience.

5. Please give us your comments on the transport included in your package.
The Japan Rail Pass and Manaca IC Card took care of all my travel, no issues at all.

6. Please comment on any professional guiding included in your package?
I was with Sylvia for four hours on my first full day in Tokyo. She was great - she helped me get my JR Pass and wandered around Jimbocho Book Town with me trying to help me find a couple books. We didn't end up finding them but it was a lot of fun anyway! The guides from Arigato Travel in Osaka and Satoyama Experience in Takayama were also very friendly and knowledgeable and showed me interesting places I wouldn't have found on my own.

IJT was GREAT and I'm very glad I used them for my first trip. Now that I'm familiar with everything I need to consider when travelling to Japan, I think I would like to try booking everything on my own before using a travel agency again.
