1. How would you describe your overall level of satisfaction with us as your tour operator?
We had a great time planning our trip with the help of InsideJapan, and an even better time taking it.

Kassondra was an excellent source of tips and ideas throughout our planning experience, and was able to answer even the questions we thought were weird and made us not feel weird for asking. She took my vague ideas like I like hiking but like hobbit hiking not serious hiking and turned them into perfect experiences like a guided walk through the gentle back trails of Hakone smelling local plants and eating muffins in the sunshine. We felt totally prepared for our trip, which I didn't honestly know was possible. Can't imagine a more helpful travel consultant and would be thrilled to work with her again.

3. How would you rate your package in terms of value for money?

4. How would you rate the accommodation against your expectations?
If anything, our accommodations generally overshot what I tend to book for myself. All very pleasant, but perhaps more than we needed. We enjoyed the OMO5 Gotanda and Kai Sengokuhara very much, but our favorite stay was at the Matsumoto Hotel Kagetsu. What a location!

5. Please give us your comments on the transport included in your package.
We had a connection or two that made me nervous, but were all completely manageable on the ground. Your staff clearly have an excellent knowledge of how to get around.

6. Please comment on any professional guiding included in your package?
All of our guides were very good at helping us navigate their special corners of Japan. I hadn't used a private guide before and my expectations took some adjusting to the high pace of the itinerary, but they were all helpful and kind. Special acknowledgements for Ms. Haruko Masuo, who was so excited to share Matsumoto Castle with us and somehow got us talking with a bonsai artist, and Ms. Junko Ogawa, who is one of the funniest and most informative people I've ever had the pleasure to meet and gave me the best advice of the entire trip: Follow your nose!

Yes
It was a huge relief to know we had people in our corner who really know Japan. It was particularly important to us to be respectful and therefore well prepared, and InsideJapan was a hugely useful resource for that. In particular, if we have a shot at working with Kassondra again and building off of the little details of what worked best from this itinerary, we'd jump at the chance. It might be a few years, but we're planning on it.
