1. How would you describe your overall level of satisfaction with us as your tour operator?
We had an excellent holiday. It was our first time in Japan and the tour took us to a wide range of places, both ancient and modern. It was a really fascinating trip, and the planning and organisation, both in advance and on the ground, was first rate. We liked having quite a bit of free time to choose where to go in Kyoto and Tokyo, rather than being shepherded round a set intinerary. The use of public transport worked well and provided a great insight into the country.

Yuki was a very bubbly, interesting and informative tour leader, and organised all the logistics incredibly well.

Sarah was very prompt and thorough with all her replies, and in particular was very professional in advising and making arrangements about our specific food requirements. She also organised our pre-and post-tour logistics very well.

4. How would you rate your package in terms of value for money?

5. How would you rate the accommodation against your expectations?
The hotels were all very good quality and ideally located for the sites, yet in quiet locations. The last one in Tokyo was perhaps rather too lavish.

6. Please give us your comments on the transport included in your package.
Travelling by Shinkansen was a great experince. As mentioned earlier, some of the transfer days carrying overnight bags on public transport were a bit gruelling, especially getting to the hotel at Gora by bus followed and uphill walk. The use of travel passes and Yuki's exceptional organisation meant it all worked, but it could have been hard going for less physically able tour participants.

7. Please tell us your thoughts on the meals included during your tour.
The included food was all very high quality and in interesting places,such as the Ryokan. It was not all to our taste, but that's part of the experience.

Maybe
Having experienced the excellent transport system and seeing how the country works, I would be tempted to travel independently, or perhaps take a shorter tour next time.
