1. How would you describe your overall level of satisfaction with us as your tour operator?
I booked with about 3 months to go until the trip and Lily was exceptional in her support in finding me the right tour and then finding and booking the right flights. This was complicated by the war in Iran and Lily once again supported with getting us good alternative flights and enabling us to go on the trip as planned. Antonio our tour leader was utterly fantastic and I have been on plenty of tours and he was by far the best that I have had. His manor, demeanour, personalised approach, openness and calmness just made the trip truly wonderful. I could truly wax lyrical about him and all the group felt the same. Prior to travelling, I received comprehensive documentation about the trip which was personalised with all my flight and travel details. This was a lovely touch.

2. Tour Leader name and satisfaction rating
Antonio was tremendous! From the very start, he was open, warm, attentive, listened and had such knowledge about each area we visited and aspects of life in Japan. His fluency in Japanese was so impressive and his understanding of the group was exceptional. Wrangling 13 very different personalities and nationalities clearly takes skill but he did it so so adeptly. I don’t eat meat and he did a wonderful job making sure the food was the same quality which it really was. He also went out of his way to find me a bar that served gin! May sound ridiculous but made a huge difference and just showed his commitment to the small details. Antonio was truly fantastic.

Lily B was responsive to emails lots of them! She listened to what me, and my friend, needed from a first trip to Japan put me at ease re the flights and change of flights and was just there. A fabulous employee.

Varied but generally good accommodation

6. Please give us your comments on the transport included in your package.
Again, good. The only misunderstanding was the ‘private’ bus across the alps which was not private but more like a National express. It was fine though. Trains were excellent and Antonio was super efficient in dealing with and organising the group. Great re telling us timings and stops.

7. Please tell us your thoughts on the meals included during your tour.
First night sushi was just gorgeous. Final night restaurant was the best and truly a delight. As mentioned, the Matsomoto was not good
