1. How would you describe your overall level of satisfaction with us as your tour operator?
This is on behalf of our whole family and written by Sharon stead. Generally, we were delighted with all aspects of Inside Japan experience. They were really helpful before our trip, accommodating complex logistics with getting our son(travelling from Thailand) to us at the hotel. They also helped with sourcing our Parkrun in Tokyo which had been really important to us to do. During the trip both Brett and Shingo were fantastic. Brett’s knowledge of Shoguns was fascinating and Shingo was just a legend throughout.

2. Tour Leader name and satisfaction rating
Shingo was just great. It was his first time and he had a huge amount of logistics to contend with but he did it so well. He was extremely personable and tireless in his approach. We had quite a challenging situation with a person on our tour who was let’s say not a cultural fit for Japan. Shingo was so patient and kind with him. He was also very sociable and came out with us. He was an integral part of the ‘gang’. It was v interesting when he was able to demonstrate his own experiences that were relevant, e.g. generously answering our questions about when he and his family would visit the shrine with their daughters. It felt like we were in the know and not just tourists.

5. How would you rate the accommodation against your expectations?
Hotel rooms are tiny but this is a built up country. The first one had no window and that was an issue for me. Breakfasts were all good. Little toiletries were delightful.

There was a lot of it!!

7. Please tell us your thoughts on the meals included during your tour.
Excellent apart from the first night of the tour - we had to cook it ourselves and it was basically gristle. Tourist fodder. Everywhere else was excellent.

Yes

10. Would you travel again with InsideJapan Tours?
No
No offence but we would now have the confidence to go solo. Our biggest concern was transport but it’s not that difficult.
