The sun never sets on the InsideJapan Tours team (well, maybe on Sundays) as we have offices in Bristol (UK), Broomfield, (USA), Brisbane (Australia) and Nagoya (Japan). On this page you can meet the people behind our Japan holidays and tours.

We have a wide range of backgrounds and interests, but you can be sure that the one thing that ties us all together is a love of Japan, Japanese culture and a passionate desire to share that with other people.

From the accounts department, through the travel consultant teams to the tour leaders and guides on the ground, you can rest assured that everything we do is to make sure you have the best possible experience of Japan.

As Sales Support Administrator for our office in Brisbane, Australia, Shino is always working behind the scenes to ensure you have the best possible trip to Japan.

Shino hails from Hokkaido, the northernmost of Japan's four main islands, known for its rugged mountain scenery, national parks, beautiful flower fields and superb skiing. Though Hokkaido will always be her home, she also spent ten years living amongst the bright lights of Osaka - quite a contrast to the rural north!

These days, Shino is based in Brisbane, where she provides much-needed support to our travel consultants as they put together your Japan itineraries. Before joining us at InsideJapan, she worked at an international logistics company in Osaka and at a Brisbane sushi restaurant. Fittingly, her favourite food in the world is sushi (which she would eat for every meal if she could) and she's affectionately known as "the vacuum cleaner" for her impressive appetite.

When she's not busy at the office (or out eating sushi), Shino can be found singing karaoke, practising yoga, or looking after her two cats. Her top tip for first-time visitors to Japan is not to be afraid to try new things - the food is amazing, just hop into any restaurant you see!

Where is your favourite place in Japan, and why?

It's very hard to choose, but I would say Aomori, at the northern tip of Honshu Island. The first time I visited Aomori was on a school trip when I was in junior high school. I was amazed by how beautiful and peaceful it was, especially the Oirase River. I also got to experience Aomori's famous festival, "Nebuta Matsuri", dressing up traditional festival clothes and dancing around. It was so much fun. I also love the cute Aomori accent!
