Carole King to perform in Tokyo
US singer-songwriter Carole King is to perform at the Tokyo International Forum this month, it has been announced.

Recently, the 66-year-old musician performed her first concert in Japan for 16 years when she appeared at the Orchard Hall in Shibuya, reports Japan Today.

Among the songs on the setlist were King classics such as It's Too Late and Locomotion.

In addition to the two gigs, which will take place on November 21 and 22nd, she will make a special guest appearance on the SMAPxSMAP TV programme on November 17th.

King was active during the recent president election campaign in the US and was one of many musicians to give their support to Democrat candidate Barack Obama, along with Bruce Springsteen, Barbara Streisand and REM.

Her music has appeared on the soundtracks of many films including Vanilla Sky, The Wedding Planner, The Sum of All Fear and the 2005 film about Bob Dylan, No Direction Home.
