Tokyo's 'levitating girl' gets worldwide acclaim
A young photographer from Japan is taking the internet by storm with her pictures that seemingly show her levitating on the streets of Tokyo.

Natsumi Hayashi posts the images on her blog Yowa Yowa Camera Woman Diary - which translates as "a feeble camera woman's diary", according to the Daily Mail newspaper.

The precocious snapper told the news provider the reasoning behind her artistic shots.

"I got the idea from an English idiom that says 'to have one's feet firmly planted on the ground,' which applies to a practical type of person," she said.

"In Japan, we have the exact same idiom. But I am not a practical person at all. Therefore, I try 'not to have my feet firmly on the ground' in my self-portrait photos to show my true self."

Ms Hayashi takes the pictures by jumping at just the right time, which she often has to do around 200 times to get the perfect snap.
