Japan Craft Beer Support (JCBS) and the Brewers' Club are organising the forthcoming Nippon Craft Beer
Festival. The event, held in Sumida Riverside Hall in
Tokyo, will focus on the various jibeeru (microbrews) available on the Japanese market, reports the Japan Times.
It is the fifth year the
festival will be held and it is expected to be attended by 39 breweries, which produce 50 different jibeeru. Exhibiting breweries include Harvest Moon, Echigo, Ginga Kogen,
Yokohama and August.
JCBS chairman Tatsuo Aoki explained the
festival gives the "chance for producers to express their gratitude to loyal customers and exchange ideas".
The Nippon Beer Craft
Festival will be held on Sunday October 31st and advance passes are available which include ten drink tickets plus a special commemorative glass.
Also taking place on the same weekend is the Craft Brewers Conference 2010.
