The
Tokyo Jazz
Festival is set to prove a popular event with tourists and Japanese locals next month.
Held over three days, the event at the
Tokyo International Forum starts on September 3rd and will feature some of the world's top jazz performers including soloists, quartets and big bands.
Acts on this year's
festival bill include Roberta Flack, Ron Carter and saxophonist Tinkea Postma.
Tickets start at 6,500 yen for a lunch time concert or 9,500 yen for an evening performance. Alternatively, day passes can be bought for 18,000 yen if you plan to make sure you do not miss out on any concerts.
The
Tokyo Jazz
Festival has been the country's most important jazz event since 2002.
All of the events will be held at the
Tokyo International Forum, which is the capital city's first convention and art centre. It is an amazing venue with seven halls and consists of four buildings joined with a stunning glass atrium.
