Kodomo no Kuni (Kid's Country)

Overview

Featuring swimming pools, skating rinks, hanging bridges, gardens, pony riding, golf and more this place should be called Kid's Heaven!

Kodomo no Kuni makes for a great day out from either of Tokyo or Yokohama.

The park was founded in commemoration of the Royal Marriage of Prince Akihito and Princess Michiko in 1959 - now of course the current day Emperor and Empress. The land covers an area of 976,000 square meters (approx. 240 acres).

When:
Open 9.30am to 4.30pm
Closed on Wednesdays every week and on Dec 31st and Jan 1st.

Where:
Between Tokyo and Yokohama and easily accessed by train.
